Welcome back! This week I’m sharing another tip on managing your time, so you continue to be inspired. Check out last week’s post in case you missed it, then come back here to read tip #2.
Set Aside Time for Yourself
Now that you’ve cleared your calendar of unnecessary activities and obligations, what will you do with all of this free time you now have? Be aware of social invitations that you think you should attend, but you’re not feeling overly excited about.
If you tend to say ‘yes’ to social invitations out of habit, take a moment to ask yourself if you really want to go before answering. Notice what feelings are coming up in your body as you ponder this question. Are you feeling genuinely excited or mildly interested or indifferent? Someone said to me recently, ‘if it’s not a hell yes, then it’s a no.’ Applying this principle has helped me to discern opportunities that I’m not really passionate about, freeing up more time for me. With this extra free time I’ve been journaling and sitting in meditation; both of which keep me grounded and feeling happy.
